  17. I've got a Microcom Travelporte Fast (V.34) modem. I've used that 
  18. successfully for quite a while in combination with Trumpet winsock.

  20. Recently I've installed windows 95 and windows 95 has problems dealing 
  21. with this modem. 
  22. - If I let windows 95 detect my modem it insists that the modem 
  23. is a Travelporte Plug & Play device. I've also tried setting 
  24. it to a normal Travelporte FAST. In neither case it will do the required 
  25. dialing. When I send it the ATDT command, the modem goes 
  26. off-hook but does not do any dialing.
  27. - When I set the modem to a 'standard 28800' modem, the dialing works
  28. fine but then it does not offer me the nice options like compression.
  29. - Trumpet winsock under W95 works fine but does not allow me to use 
  30. 32bits winsock applications (like netscape 2.0)

  32. Do I need special drivers for this modem under W95?
