- Hi,
-
- I've got a Microcom Travelporte Fast (V.34) modem. I've used that
- successfully for quite a while in combination with Trumpet winsock.
-
- Recently I've installed windows 95 and windows 95 has problems dealing
- with this modem.
- - If I let windows 95 detect my modem it insists that the modem
- is a Travelporte Plug & Play device. I've also tried setting
- it to a normal Travelporte FAST. In neither case it will do the required
- dialing. When I send it the ATDT command, the modem goes
- off-hook but does not do any dialing.
- - When I set the modem to a 'standard 28800' modem, the dialing works
- fine but then it does not offer me the nice options like compression.
- - Trumpet winsock under W95 works fine but does not allow me to use
- 32bits winsock applications (like netscape 2.0)
-
- Do I need special drivers for this modem under W95?
-
- Thanks,
-
- Aloys Roes
